Catherine M. Poole
President and Founder
Catherine Poole, an 18-year melanoma survivor and patient advocate, founded
MIF to provide the support and outreach that was so difficult to find during her own diagnosis and
treatment. Poole is the author of
Melanoma Prevention, Detection and Treatment, published YUP, revised in 2005. Her
co-author is Dr. DuPont Guerry, Director of the Melanoma Program at Penn and world renowned

Lisa Newcomb
National Director
Lisa has over ten years of experience working with non-profit organizations. She currently oversees and coordinates MIF's website, Safe from the Sun, new initiatives and develops new partnerships and programs to better serve MIF's mission.
Director of Education & Outreach
Debbie has extensive experience with program development and event planning and has also spent many years leading and mentoring women. She has a passion for people and is a former school teacher.
Patrice Konigsberg
Administrative Coordinator

Patrice is a former creative director and marketing manager. She has a BFA in
Fashion and Graphic Design from Moore College of Art. Her enthusiasm and organizational skills keep
MIF running smoothly.
Emilee Taylor

Patient Resource Coordinator
Emilee is a registered nurse, who earned her BSN from Drexel University. She has valuable medical experience, including an oncology rotation at Cooper University Hospital.
